TikTok stores a photo post as a list of images and an audio track. The sliding, beat-matched thing you watched was assembled by the app on your screen — there is no MP4 of it on any server.
Hands you the originals. Each slide arrives at the dimensions TikTok stored, not the size it rendered in the app, and the sound arrives as the file TikTok delivers rather than a transcode of it. Nothing is re-compressed, so nothing is softer than what the creator uploaded.
Builds a video that never existed — re-encoding the stills into frames and guessing the transitions and the timing. The result is invariably softer than the originals and out of step with the beat. If you want a video, an editor can assemble one from files that have not already been through a re-encode.
Every row here describes a path that exists in the extractor. The two at the end are real limits, not things left for later.
A /photo/ link comes back as one file per slide, in the order it plays, at the dimensions TikTok stored rather than the size it renders in the app. A ten-slide post gives you ten images — not a screen recording, and not a single collage of the set.
On a slideshow the audio is half the post, so it is listed alongside the slides with the track name and the creator TikTok credits it to. It is saved as .m4a, which is what the file actually contains — see the question below on why that is not .mp3.
vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com and /t/ links carry an opaque token rather than a post id. They are accepted: the redirect is followed and the real id is read from wherever it lands, so you never need to open the link yourself first.
The slides are read from the same place the app reads them, which is before any stamp is applied. Nothing is cropped or painted over — there is nothing on them to remove.
Not supported here, and not something we intend to add. A post from a private account is not publicly served, so reaching it would mean signing in as someone who can see it. If you can already view it, the private downloader page reads the page source your own browser received.
Not supported. TikTok decides these per viewer and per country, and it applies that decision to our server exactly as it would to any anonymous visitor. No downloader can change where a request comes from.
The same three steps as a video, with one difference: you finish with a row per slide instead of a row per quality.
Photo posts play in the same full-screen viewer as video, so start by opening the one you want. The arrow at the right edge opens the Share sheet, and Copy link is the option you need.
Put the link in the field at the top of this page and submit it. The post's public metadata is read once, and every slide comes back listed in playback order with its dimensions, together with the sound.
Each row saves one file to your device, named after the creator, the post id and the slide's position — so they sort correctly without renaming. The sound sits at the bottom of the list as its own row.

Any link to a single public photo post. The /photo/ path is the canonical one, and the Share sheet's short link points at the same thing, so either is fine. Tracking parameters on the end are ignored.
A /video/ link for a post that is really a slideshow works too — TikTok itself sometimes hands out the video form, and the resolver reads what the payload contains rather than trusting the path. A link to a profile is not a post link; open the slideshow itself first, then share it.

Yes. They are read positionally out of the post's own image list rather than swept up from the page, so the sequence you download is the sequence it plays in.
The filenames carry the position too, so they sort correctly in a folder without you renaming anything.
JPEG, at the dimensions TikTok stored. Getting that right needs a little care, because TikTok's image URLs carry no file extension: the path ends in an opaque object key with a transform token appended.
Two things are read to name the file properly. The transform token states the output format, and the response's own Content-Type is used as the authority if the two ever disagree. Where TikTok offers a slide as HEIC — which it does for some posts — a JPEG or WebP version is preferred if one exists, because HEIC is a file most desktop software still refuses to open.
Whichever the file actually is. Most TikTok sounds are delivered as MP3 and arrive named .mp3. Some are stored as AAC in an MP4 container, and those are saved as .m4a, which is the correct extension for exactly those contents.
Naming it is less obvious than it sounds, because TikTok's audio URLs carry no file extension and its delivery mirrors do not agree with each other — one was observed answering video/mp4 for a file whose header is plainly an MP3. So the extension is decided by what kind of medium the bytes are, not by whichever mirror answered.
Either way nothing is converted. Re-encoding to force a .mp3 would throw away quality to change nothing but the name, and it could not be streamed straight through. Both formats play natively in Apple Music, iTunes, VLC, Windows Media Player and on every phone; if a specific device insists on MP3, convert the .m4a afterwards with a tool built for that job.
Those do not work here, by design. A post from a private account, or one restricted to followers, is not served to a signed-out request, and this tool never signs in to anything.
There is a second path for posts you can already view: the private downloader page reads page source that your own browser fetched, so the authenticated party is you rather than us. It is linked in the header as Private.
No. Paste a link, pick the files, done — no login, no browser extension, and nothing installed. Your TikTok credentials are never asked for; if a downloader asks you to sign in, that is the moment to close the tab.
No media, ever. Every file streams from TikTok's CDN through this server to your browser and is never written to disk. Post metadata sits in a cache for about ten minutes so a repeat lookup does not hit TikTok twice, and then it is gone.
Routing through the proxy also means your browser never contacts TikTok for the files, so no referrer or fingerprint of yours reaches them and nothing shows up in your activity. On TikTok that indirection is load-bearing rather than cosmetic: its CDN refuses requests that do not arrive with the right referer and session cookies, so a raw link handed to your browser would simply be rejected.
Not without permission. The creator who posted them holds the copyright, and a download button does not transfer that. Saving your own posts and keeping personal offline copies is the intended use.
Slideshows are worth a specific warning: they are frequently somebody's photographs, and a photograph is a stronger and more personal claim than a fifteen-second clip. Reposting a set of someone's photos as your own is the clearest possible version of the thing this tool is not for.
