We respect copyright and expect users of this service to do the same.

What this service hosts

Nothing. TikDownloader stores no video, image, or audio files. When you submit a link, our server reads the post's publicly available metadata and streams the file from TikTok's content delivery network directly to your browser. Nothing is copied to our storage, and no library, index, or archive of media is kept.

If your content was misused

If someone downloaded your video here and reposted it elsewhere, the infringement is that republication, not the download. The effective steps are:

1. File with the platform hosting the copy. Every major platform has a copyright complaint process and must act on valid notices.
2. Report the reuploader to TikTok if the copy is on TikTok itself. ByteDance can remove the post and act on the account behind it; we can do neither.
3. Narrow the audience on the original if you want to stop further copying. Switching your account to private, or restricting a post to followers, means this tool cannot resolve it from a link at all.

Filing a notice with us

If you believe this service is being used in a way that infringes your rights and you want us to act, send a written notice including all of the following:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The specific TikTok URL or post id at issue, precise enough for us to locate it.
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Send notices to copyright@tikdownloader.dev, listed alongside our other routes on the contact page. We review every complete notice and respond promptly. Be aware of what the remedy can be, though: since no copy of your video exists on this server, there is nothing here to delete. What we can do is refuse to resolve a specific link going forward, and we will do that where a notice makes the case.

Misrepresentation

Knowingly filing a false or bad-faith notice can carry legal liability, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please be sure of your claim before filing.

Counter-notice

If a link was blocked as a result of a notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice with your signature, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the block was an error, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.

Repeat infringement

We rate-limit and block access from addresses used for abusive or repeated infringing activity.
